Dear Customers and Friends,
In light of the realities of the world we are living in today and with heavy heart, I have made the decision to end Free Pie Monday.
When I bought the Village Family Restaurant three years ago, prices for goods were stable and the labor market had more than enough people looking for work and Free Pie Monday seemed the simplest, best way to continue thanking you for your support. That is no longer the case. While I have instituted some price increases necessary to keep our doors open, those have not increased profitability to the extent that I can continue to serve free pie. Additionally, It is has become increasingly difficult to staff the restaurant, contributing to the challenges in making sure every visit is as great as the last.
My crew and I still appreciate your support as much now as we did three years ago, maybe more so. Please continue to come and visit your favorite servers and enjoy your favorite specials. We’ll get through this together. In the meantime, if you or someone you know is looking for work, send them our way.
