Mother’s Day Saturday marked the first day for me as the new owner of this well-loved establishment. More than a restaurant, I have seen that Village is very special to many and is where time is marked, both special – birthdays and anniversaries, and ordinary -the same groups of friends meeting for decades. I have seen that this is a second home to many and a stop over while in town shopping for the day to others. I have been blown away by the warmth and friendliness of so many friends and regulars who have sought me out to say hello. I continue to be in awe of the great group of people I have joined in serving you and our community here. Our team is second to none. I’ve told everyone that I’ve met that I don’t intend to make any changes to what has been built here over so many years by so many great people, and I’m saying it again here because it is absolutely true. I’m excited to meet more of you during our upcoming summer season. Please stop by for a slice of pie or some fried chicken and say hello!
